Engine Marine Services, was created in 2008 and is managed by Christophe LETHIEC representing the 3rd family generation in naval mechanics and more precisely in the Yachting industry.

With more than 20 years of experience in diesel mechanics on specific diesel engines and generators such as MAN, MTU, CAT, KOHLER, YANMAR, EMS serves a large international range of customers and is currently looking to expand. We are therefore looking for a Diesel Mechanic ready to start as soon as possible or the latest within January 2025 to join the team and ready to take up on its duties.

Your main missions will be:

  • Periodic maintenance on engines and generators (filtration replacement, exchangers, cleaning, injector check, etc.)
  • Trouble shooting using diagnosis with repair tools on board Yachts
  • Total reconditioning of diesel engines (on board or in the workshop)
  • Bench trials for performance validation before re-docking
  • Good personal relational skills are required to ensure a proper follow-up with customers and suppl

Trainings will take place each year to refresh technical skills and/or to monitor and follow-up on product developments.

The workshop is in Le Cannet, small trips on a daily basis are to be expected, in order to go directly to the ports/shipyards, therefore a valid driving license is required. A professional vehicle will be at your disposal for interventions in ports and/or in shipyards.

We are looking for a person with a significant experience comprised in between 5 and 10 years, or more, ideally in naval mechanics. EMS will also take into consideration motivated, passionate and voluntary mechanics with a background in truck or light vehicle mechanics who wish to progress in the yachting industry.

Salary will be defined based on experience and profile.

The position is offered under a permanent contract – can be discussed if needed.

Engine Marine Services is recruiting an electromechanical engineer with expertise in the proper functioning of diesel engines and their electronic components.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Inspecting and testing of various components
  • Adhering to industry standards and safety regulations
  • Identifying and resolving problems on electrical systems
  • Installing electrical components according to the technical drawings
  • Interpreting measured values ​​and ensuring compliance with manufacturer’s specifications

Desired profile:

  • Individual with significant experience of 5 to 10 years or more, ideally in marine engineering, mechanics and electronics.
  • Excellent technical and mechanical skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with a multimeter and a clamp ammeter
  • Proficiency with computer-based tools and diagnostic tools to update and to program and reset calculators

Soft skills/personal skills:

  • Aptitude for troubleshooting, breakdowns and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team
  • You are positive, dynamic, flexible, proactive individual with excellent work ethic
  • Fluency in French is essential
  • Proficiency in English would be a significant asset
  • Valid driver’s license (category B)
